Travel OOTD: New Forest, England - Cosy Knit Sweaters over Lace Dresses

Since coming to university I have been overwhelmed with favour from the Lord in terms of making incredible friends and friends for life and I can firmly and solidly say that. I am so grateful to be doing life with beautiful, kind-hearted individuals that are encouraging and wonderful bubbles of happiness but also remain steadfast in times that are upsetting and troublesome. I know that their love and faith for the Lord is both awe-inspiring and so encouraging.

In some ways I don't want my life at university to end, I used to not bear thinking any far into the future passed third year but since entering second year I've been more open to trusting in the Lord and all that He is doing right now in me to prepare me for my future. Although the unknown in some ways absolutely terrify me, I must turn that fear into faith and place it into the hands of the One who knows. Who knows me, my heart, my passions, my desires, and my gifts. The One who holds every single fibre of my being in Him and the One who has my best intentions at heart and although I may, at times be weak, stubborn and selfish I know that He ultimately has moved me so much to the point that I stand steadfast within Him and although my faith may shake I will trust in all that He says that He is and revel in the fact that on the cross He told me I was worth it and that I was worth dying for.

There's something in the way that nature allows me to think more clearly, for some reason the Lord knows what moves me and allows me to be rendered speechless in the sight of His creation and glory.
I encourage you to find the space in which the Lord woos your heart, which causes your insides to be so in awe of something that it renders you speechless. Whether it be a cityscape a sea-scape or a landscape. Ask the Lord to tell you to speak into your heart and life. Allow Him to show off His magnificent creation to you because, trust me He is more than willing to show you.

Pictured above is one of my favourite Americans, Maddie and she, much like Viki, has an impeccable fashion sense. Her outfit is one that can be dressed up and down. Here the sweater is more on the casual side but still remains high fashion and on-trend. Both outfits have similar styles in terms of country casual looks pulled off effortlessly with jackets.

Black Lace Dress - Forever 21 - On sale for $12.00 // Sweater - New Look - £15.00 // Tights - H&M // Leather Jacket - Kohl's - £20 // Boots - Rack Room Shoes - $60 //

Travel OOTD: NEW FOREST, England - Plum Lace and Riding Boots

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of exploring the New Forest with people whom I hold very dear to my heart. Everywhere the leaves were brown and the trees were rich in different shades of green. It is hands down my favourite season of the four and Viki's outfit pictured in the photos above suited her surroundings perfectly.

Upon arrival we were so excited by the prospect of the wild horses and how we were to have the opportunity to roam around freely with them that we couldn't have scoffed down our lunch fast enough if we tried. We took a wonderful trail around just a snippet of what seemed to be an abundance of forest. We viewed creeks, bridges and gorgeous ancient trees. We stopped to admire the wild deer and picked up leaves and sticks on our journey. I laid my eyes upon mushrooms, picket fences and huge spider webs. I was incredibly excited to be surrounded by nature and countryside once again for I am a complete countryside-girl in my heart and one who misses home dearly. Amongst this small city on the sea I was relieved so to be able to escape and just be away from buildings and houses. It was refreshing being surrounded by something I consider similar to what I consider to be home.

You would have to be pretty unobservant to not realise that dark shades of purple and red are very present in all fashion trends. It is a very royal and warm colour to adorn yourselves with this autumn. The great thing about lace is the fact that although it is simple it is also detailed and you can pair it with boots and simple belts with statement pieces of jewellery to finish the look off just like Viki has done. I love everything about her look as it gives off a vibe of country style with a modern twist. Everything that Viki is wearing is listed below:

Plum Lace Dress - New Look - £7 // Brown Belt - Primark - £1.00 // Brown Knee-High Boots - £20.00 // Jewellery - Primark - £3.00

However with England you just never know. So I'll go out on a whim here and just post what I would wear on a rainy day (and what I did, in fact wear on a rainy day).

I have so much to blog about what I've been up to recently, hauls, purchases and products I'm loving and I also have exciting travel plans coming up as well.

Thank you to those who were patient and kind enough to stay following my blog, I really appreciate it despite seriously letting you guys down for a little over two months. Here's hoping home girl sticks to it!

Hey guys,

It's that time of year where parties are around the corner and we are bombarded by an abundance of sequins and glitter (which is totally acceptable this time of year) it's party season and what better way to utilise the fact that I am a very poor student then searching for outfits that cost under £20? I must say, it was quite hard finding outfits for under £20 that covered jewellery as well so the prices below only count the clothing and the shoes with the additional jewellery pieces added on the end. BLOGMAS #5: my Outfit of the Day and Face of the Day!

Hey guys,

Welcome to Day 5 of Blogmas, I honestly thought that I wouldn't even get this far into December but here we are with an outfit and fotd post. I'm seriously so inexperienced when it comes to taking outfit photos and I haven't yet bought a decent camera. The following photos were taken on my phone in my Uni Halls kitchen (mmm... classy) yes anyway dreadful photo taking aside let's get into it!

I love this outfit, I find it very Christmas appropriate! I bought the jumper from H&M for £7.99 and it is so very comfy if not a bit sheer. The sleeves slip perfectly onto my hands and the bobbly texture of the jumper adds a unique twist to the look. The beautiful red colour is very very bright so it's a great accent clothing item to enhance the floral skirt I bought which is also from H&M for £7.00.

I had to wear a black tank top underneath this jumper, it's not necessary but it has been very chilly where I am currently living so naturally I had to bring in a few layers to the table anywhere possible. On my legs I am wearing black leggings also from H&M (this is not a sponsored post in any way, shape or form I just quite simply clearly adore H&M) whose leggings are so comfortable and a great quality and I believe they are around £5.99.

I bought my boots from New Look for £20.00 and well mini rant, to put it bluntly they are really not at all good quality! After having them for only a couple of weeks the leather came off on one side of my right shoe revealing the layer underneath and let me tell you guys, these shoes are definitely not waterproof. Other than that, I love the fact that they are wide fit, I appreciate that New Look but please please pleaseee increase the quality of your products.

Yes, I took a lot of selfies this day but I just wanted to run through what make-up I wore and what my basic make-up routine is:

For foundation I'm wearing Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in Light Bronze, then I apply Collection 2000's Lasting Perfection concealer underneath my eyes. Next I take a flat powder brush and run Rimmel London's Stay Matte powder in Warm Beige over my face to set everything down.
Next I fill in my eyebrows with Wet n Wild's eyebrow palette and I dab a flat angled brush over them to get a precise shape.

For my eye makeup I take MUA's Undress Me Too palette using the Tranquil eyeshadow and using my fingers I just swipe that over my eyes. To add a bit of definition to my eyes I add the Obsessed colour to the outer corners. After my eyeshadow I would normally do my eyeliner, I use Loreal's Super Liner in Black honestly the best liquid eyeliner I have ever used. Once my eyeliner has fully dried I use an eyelash curler on my lashes and then I use the Colossal Go Extreme! Mascara in waterproof.

On some days I like to tightline my waterline with black eyeliner but most days I skip this step. For the final touch I add lipstick and today I'm wearing Maybelline New Yorks Colour Sensational Lip Liner in Pleasure Me Red (bit of an awkward lipstick name but let's move on).

That is my OOTD and FOTD guys I hope you enjoyed it I want to apologise again for the amateur photography that I had going on, you should've seen my setup, I placed my phone into a candle jar and put it on a 10 second timer so I could focus and run to a good enough spot to get my outfit photographed in time. Haha my apologies! I hope you guys enjoyed this post,
God bless,
All my love,

GAME DAY - Outfit Idea featuring Fanatics.com

Hey guys,

Everyone's probably been to watch a game of some sort in their lives whether it's seats at an NBA game, being part of the crowd of the infectious atmosphere of a football or even simply watching your brother hit it out of the park at his local baseball game. Whether you have or not it is always a fun place to express your own individual style at, everyone has different style there's no doubt about that so for me having only been to a few sports games here's an outfit idea that I would wear if you were watching a game with a date or going to watch a game with your your friends.

Check out Fanatics.com a leading online retailer for everything sports that specialises in apparel for all your favourite teams. They have nearly every sport under the sun from NBA to Lacrosse and more! I chose the Atlanta Braves New Era Infant Mesaflix Redux Adjustable Hat  in Navy Blue/White for my Game Day outfit because I adored its simplicity, the polka-dot stripes that go around the hat appear subtle and add what I felt was a slight girly, sporty chic touch to the outfit. The added boldness of the red A accentuates the hat and gives you a chance to play off of that and add red lipstick to accentuate the boldness of the colour even more further. From there I decided tht I wanted red elements to seep through the outfit because I feel like it makes the whole outfit a little more interesting and edgy. This is why I added the red kimono, it's plain so it can classify as casual and not too bright that it takes away the attention from the hat.

Check out their website here: Fanatics.com for an even wider selection of cutest baseball caps who ever said casual had to be boring? With an amazing 4000 and more range of bright, bold colours for a large number of teams all over there is endless baseball cap opportunity, no doubt it will keep on growing. These baseball caps are for all ages, woman and man and are priced so well you really can't go wrong! Here are more of my favourite baseball caps because it was really hard narrowing it down to just one:

1) New Era L.A. Dodgers Royal Blue Neo 39THIRTY Stretch Fit Hat - £15
2) New Era Detroit Tigers Cooperstown Collection 59FIFTY Fitted Hat Gray - £21
3) New Era Boston Red Sox Throwback Trucker Hat Navy Blue/Red - £12
4) '47 Brand Cincinnati Reds Cleanup Adjustable Hat Red - £12

So as I have already mentioned before (no harm in mentioning one more time) I chose to use the Atlanta Braves New Era Infant Mesaflix Redux Adjustable Hat  in Navy Blue/White - in USD it costs $15.95 for those who live in the UK it will cost around £9.47.

For the other items of clothing:
1) White and Grey Stripe High Neck Crop Top - £7.99 - New Look
2) Pale Blue Acid Wash Jeans - £23 - New Look
3) Burgundy Fine Knit Kimono - £18 - New Look
4) Wide Fit Black Multi Strap Heels - £25 - New Look
5) Mini Satchel Bag - £20 - ASOS
6) Pillar Box Red - £4.25 - Barry M
7) Necklace - £8.00 - Accessorize

Hope you guys enjoyed this short post be sure to check out their website I had a lot of fun creating this outfit,
God bless,
All my love,

OOTD: Florals and Greys

Hey guys,

A few beautiful sunny days ago I wore an outfit, clothes are recommended here in the UK you see. I liked the little ensemble of clothing I had on so I decided to take a few photos of me failing to pose in it. I believe this is my second outfit of the day that I've done on this blog which is a sign that I should be posting more outfits really isn't it?

Are you ready for an onslaught of photos from different angles of my outfit of the day?
Then here goes:

My grey t-shirt with a pocket is a top from the pyjama section in Matalan I believe it was £4.00 and all I did was tie it so it appeared somewhat cropped.

I bought my floral pink skort from Primark for £7.00 which was a bargain because it is beautiful.

My grey and white cardigan is from H & M as was also only £7.00 - it is currently my go-to cardigan for all outfit choices which is such a bargain for the amount of outfits I put with it.

My necklace was £3.00 from Primark and if you can't see it clearly is a gold chain with jewelled pink teardrops going around it.

Here is a selfie, I took my hair from out of a bun so it just sits on my head, doesn't do much and is really hard to control. I'm wearing Maybelline and Rimmel London foundation mixed together, Maybelline's Brow Drama on my eyebrows, MUA eyeshadow palette Heaven and Earth on my eyelids, Loreal Superliner in Black for eyeliner and Clinique's lip balm crayon that I got free in a Glamour Magazine for £2.00 :)

Because I forgot to show you my earrings here is a picture of them, I bought them in a set of 3 similar colours I thought that these pink ones went especially well with my necklace. They were £2.00 I believe, from Primark.

Here is what I was wearing on my feet, just simple sandals in white that I got from Primark for £6.00 years ago, excuse the background :)

So yes, there it is my outfit of the day, above is a photo of me standing awakwardly because my mum told to stand like that.

In case you wanted to see how white my feet are compared to my legs, here you go.
It's also for the benefit of those who wished for a sandal close-upm excuse my feet. :)

So there it is, my second outfit of the day post!
Thankyou for taking the time out to check this post, I hope you enjoyed it,
God bless,
All my love,

COACHELLA: Vanessa Hudgens - Her fashion story.

2013

Hey guys, I have been absent for so long I tried to think of an interesting post to come back from and seeing as the music festival Coachella in California is happening this weekend I thought I'd share how much I adore Vanessa Hudgens fashion at this festival and have admired her and the whole event from the comfort of my home. Although I would much rather be there than here I figured I would just create a post displaying the attire Hudgens has put together over the years.

For those of you that haven't heard of Coachella it's an annual two weekend, three week-day music and arts festival held in Indio, California. Genres of music that you can hear there are hip-hop, indie, rock and electronic. There are also plenty of opportunities to release your inner creative child that has been hiding away all year (ever since secondary school).

The Coachella Valley stages have been graced with the presence of major artists Muse, Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, Amy Winehouse and Daft Punk to name but a few. This year is has been said that 150 acts will be performing at the festival on each of the two weekends. OutKast reunite - although I haven't really been paying much attention clearly because I didn't even know they broke up. Lorde will be making a Coachella debut on stage as well as Calvin Harris, Foster the People, Ellie Goulding, Pharrell Williams and Lana Del Ray.

2011
2013

I have gathered together a few favourites of Vanessa Hudgens outfits from previous shows and it's safe to say she really swings it out of the park when it comes to fashion at Coachella and in general life. Her style ranges from bohemian to girly and romantic as well as incorporating tribal patterns in her looks.

2013

One of the most important finishing touches she adds to her outfits are accessories, I don't think a year will ever go by when she doesn't beautifully accessories her clothing. They entail necklaces, bracelets, flower crowns and rings as well as the additional hat and sunglasses.

2012

Another aspect of her Coachella style is her hair which always looks lush especially in the very first photo in this post. Most pictures have her wearing her hair down with any form of curl which looks absolutely gorgeous on her, other times she has her hair tied back with two strands in front. Either way it really does contribute beautifully to the overall look.

♥ Valentine's Day SERIES #5: Outfits no. 3

Hey loves,

I have here my last Valentine's Day Outfit post, it is the third and final set that I have created you guys! I still have a few days left until Valentine's Day so I really wanted to post another one just because of timing and how much I did not plan this Valentine's Day Series well in advance of Valentine's Day but I will learn from my mistakes of course :)

This set really plays upon pastel colours which are very in this Spring, it also plays around with coral colours and floral patterns like my previous Valentine's Day Outfit posts. I am very much a dress person when it comes to special occassions anyway so I am pleased to involve some of my favourite dresses that I came across on my outfit-searching travels.

I have recently got back into numbering my Polyvore sets as it really is hard and close to impossible to work out which items I'm talking about when all I say is "From top left:" So I hope you guys find it easier to view it this way! I will also link my Polyvore Set link so that you can click through to the actual web pages of these outfits.

Enjoy!

Lipsticks for the Festive Season!

Hey loves,
I have seen a lot of people wearing the famous red lipstick look this festive season and I'm quite the avid red lipstick collector. It's so strange a few years ago I literally would be way to nervous to try such a bold lip colour with the fear of it smudging on my teeth or worse - my chin. Anyway, after building a bridge I decided to branch out and actually my first ever MAC purchase is pictured here and it has literally lasted me 2 years and can probably go for at least, minimum another two years!

I'll start by numbering the ones pictured above :)

2. Loreal - Color Riche Serum in True Red

I have literally had this colour for so long, I found it on sale a while ago it has the slightest tear drop shape pink colour in amongst the beautiful red which I think was a wonderful touch. The packaging is gorgeous - there's something about gold packaging that just makes whatever is inside that little bit more special. This is a very creamy lipstick with a very glossy finish I normally wouldn't wear it so glossy so I would simply use my finger to blend. It probably lasts up to three hours but if you're constantly drinking water or have a dinner to go to I would definitely bring it to touch the colour up which doesn't remain on for so long if you are partaking in these activities.

4.Collection 2000 - Gothic Glam Collection in 3 Revenge

You guys have heard me rant about my love for this lipstick way too many times, my apologies I just feel like it's the most gorgeous plum colour which is similar of that concerning MAC's Rebel, I read a comparison blog post on it the other day. With this colour you are able to play up the intensity so when you first put it on it'll appear a beautiful deep purple but using your finger to seperate the colour creates this raspberry plum colour which is perfect for the Christmas season. This also has a very glossy finish and unfortunately does not last that long but all you need to do is carry it around in your bag :)

1. Rimmel London - Lasting Finish Lipstick in 136 Ballistic

I absolutely love this colour it's like a red wine mixed with plum which gives of the most gorgeous plum colour. What I also love about this product is the fact that it doesn't have a glossy finish despite it being a creamy consistency therefore that is the result of a perfect balance which is just what I love to see in a lipstick. It also lasts a few hours and even the faded colour that reveals itself after a few hours of wear is gorgeous because I find it's disappears evenly which is perfect!

3. MAC - Matte in Ruby Woo

So here it is, my first ever MAC product that I got 2 Christmases ago, best present ever? Yes. Literally it costs so much including postage and packaging for one freaking lipstick but it was totally worth look how long it lasted! The best thing I find about Matte lipsticks is that you can have the best of both worlds if you add lipbalm/vaseline the downside is the fact that it's dry to put on and feels uncomfortably dry during the day which is an awful shame considering the actual matte effect that appears on your lips look beautiful, it's just a shame you can't have the Matte look without the dryness but nonetheless this colour is awesome and one that I find is perfect for any season due to its brightness and versatility.

5. Rimmel London - Lasting Finish Kate Lipstick 01

This was a present I got from my brother the same Christmas I got my Mac lipstick, what a sweetie (yes I chose it AND wrapped it for myself but the thought is still there) This is probably my most worn lipstick to Ruby Woo one of the first things that struck me about this lipstick is the beautiful packaging I mean the simpleness of Kate's signature against the black look divine. Also the scent OMG just wow I don't really know how to describe it but it smells like those beautiful stores you go into in random towns that sell varieties of beautiful handmade soaps. Yup. That's as best I can describe it. It's like flowers freshly picked. Anyway getting back to the actual lipstick the consistency is creamy and it gives off more of a glossy finish then Rimmel London's Ballistic lipstick, I find that the look is very classic compared to the others which combines that classic feel with gloss making the lips appear very voluptuous.

Here are the non-lipsticks I used, which I'll still involve here because they pretty much do the exact same job as the others did:

1. Maybelline New York - Coloursensational Lip Liner in 547 Pleasure Me Red

Now, I am still very new to the Lip Liner world here, I literally own about 3 of them and I've used them to the point where I'm sharpening them everytime I use it which probably isn't right and also I know what I'm doing wrong... I'm not combining it with a lipstick. My bad. I just find that they can give off an awesome Matte effect that I can instantaneously make moisture with vaseline so really you get, awesome and precise execution of the shape of yours lips and you get to put your desired amount of gloss on. Perfect.
Note to self: must invest in more of these.

Check that demure look. Or my attempt-at-a-model pose. Maybe I should try looking into the camera next time rather than that, "Oh, look as if there's something going on in the corner to show you're totally not bothered by the camera" look.

2. Max Factor Lipfinity Colour & Gloss in 530 Luminous Petal

This lip colour & gloss is incredible for an everyday festive season lip colour I find that these plummy pinks suit my skin tone way more than the bright pink lipsticks and this one is perfect, it's a shame that I'm running out but anyway the Lip colour part creates a matte effect but it also comes with the gloss that you can use which is genius and it leaves the lips looking lovely and glossy although you don't want to put too much on just in case it looks like you've been making out with a guy that could not leave his slobber inside his mouth. Sorry, I know. TMI.

Anyway, that is it for my Lipsticks for the Festive Season post guys,
I really hope you enjoyed it!
God bless,
All my love,
