Happy Birthday to mee! :D

Hey loves,

It's that time of year again, it's my birthday! I'm an hour in already and like always birthdays make me nostalgic. I'm ready to crack the photo albums out but I won't, I will refrain from the baby pictures, caterpillar cakes and parties that I had as a child with guests that I can only just about remember! If you weren't aware of the age I'm turning today the answer is 19 years of age. God pulled me through to the age of 19, for starters I am incredibly blessed, blessed to have a roof over my head, a supportive family and incredible friends, they are so wonderful to me and yesterday I got to spend it with my closest and tomorrow even more time spent with people I love.

Another thing about Birthdays is the fact that they make me think, they make me think of the rest of my life and the years to come. They make me think, what now? So I've decided to write a list. My closest know that I love to write lists, it's a bit of a habit but I have no shame. A list, is appropriate right now as I ponder on all the things I haven't yet acheived in my life, all the experiences I wish to have and all the mistakes that I am undoubtedly going to make.

So here we go:

1. I wish to survive going to Uni, with my faith still in tact and hopefully on the verge of being a woman that does my God proud.
2. I wish to be happy, in all aspects of my life. A genuine happiness in a relationship (if I'm in one), in singleness (if I become it) and just happy with life in general.
3. I wish to not place my happiness on others.
4. I wish to learn and know my worth and never question that. Ever.
5. I wish to pass my Grade 8 on the Violin in the Summer.
6. I wish to keep this blog going for all the years to come.
7. I wish to never stop taking photos no matter how many looks I get.
8. I wish to travel.
9. I wish to work on a Magazine.
10. I wish to work in Ministry and bring the glory due to the Lord's name.
11. I wish to never ever lose contact with my family no matter where I am in the world.
12. I wish to stop caring what other people think about me.
13. I wish my confidence will increase.
14. I wish I will learn to love every part of myself, body, soul and mind.
15. I wish to have more humility.
16. I wish to just be real, people that are just real with themselves will find people relate to them more rather than appearing like Ms. Perfect.
17. I wish to have more control over money and spending.
18. I wish to love and cherish those around me and to never forget who was there to help me through life.
19. I wish to do what makes me happy and learn from mistakes and to accept that not everything works out.
20. I wish to be strong in my Faith, a rock that cannot be shaken, remaining strong and steadfast in the Lord.
21. I wish to take better care of my hair and my skin. Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise.
22. I wish to keep on making wishes and to never forget that the only way they can come true is if I work hard for them and trust in the Lord.

So there are my 22 Wishes, I should have really done 19 in order to keep running on the 19 theme, but alas no, I shall keep it at 22 and I hope to come back to this blog post next year when I am 20!! WHAT.... It feels like only yesterday that I was 7.
Ok.
That's a lie, I can't really remember being 7... 14 is more accurate. *High five* for those with bad memory.

Thankyou for reading :D
God bless,

Favourites: Beauty Gurus on Youtube!

Hey loves,

This blog post reveals my favourite Youtube Beauty Gurus as of now, I have been following most of these people for so long and they have seriously inspired me in the world of fahsion, beauty and lifestyle which is what I now love blogging about.

Beautycrush

Sammi was the first person that I followed on Youtube concerning the beauty community. I was even more elated when I found out she was British! It made me so happy because I could relate to her in terms of the shops she shopped in and the style because it applied to me. She is not only incredible fashion forward but she also appears as a genuinely kind person, even shy at times which I can definitely relate to.
Here is her recent Winter Lookbook which is AMAZING I suggest you guys check it out!

Here is her Youtube
and her Blog

BethanyMota (Macbarbie07)

If you haven't already heard about the sensation that is Bethany Mota.. where have you been hiding all this time! I have been following her for quite a while and she has progressed so far so that she now has a clothing line out in a store called Aeropostale. I wish they would bring it over here, her style is pretty amazing. She is also so sweet, real and down-to-earth let alone gorgeous, she is the most relatable teen on Youtube that I've found so far - she's awkward and quirky and also so weird. I love it!

Here is her Youtube so that you can subscribe to her.
Her Twitter.

Uglyfaceofbeauty (Gracie Francesca)

I love Gracie, she's so witty and really tells it how it is. You really get the sense that she does Youtube to benefit her subscribers and not just herself. Also she is so amazingly strong and beautiful and so real when it comes to insecurities and staying strong and being independent. I get so excited when I see a new video in my Subscription box from her because I know that if I'm having a bad day she is guaranteed to make me laugh!

Here is her Youtube.

ThatsHeart

As most of you have probably guessed, I am indeed half-filipino and I'm probably the most british filipino person you'll ever meet. Heart was the first filipino beauty guru that I found on Youtube, I found her quite a while ago and have loved her videos ever since! She also has the cutest relationship on this planet and I honestly think they should just get married already. She really is a sweetie-pie and also has amazing vlogs, I don't usually find vlogs at all that interesting but hers, I seem to find my eyes glued to the screen!

Here is her Youtube.

MissGlamourazzi (Ingrid Nilsen)

I found Ingrid via one of my best friends and I only really started actually following her properly just last year. I love her videos they are edited so flawlessly and are so visually stunning. She is also so sweet and I love all the products she raves about, she really knows how to sell it.

Here's her Youtube,

I hope you guys enjoyed finding out who my Top 5 favourite beauty gurus are,

Spring/Summer 2014 Trends: Wide-Legged Trousers, Cropped Tops and Jackets

Hey loves,

I have another post for you, a trend I saw running in many of the fashion catwalks that I was researching which are Wide-Legged Trousers, Crop Tops and Cropped Jackets. According to Vogue the exposed mid riff top is still in for this season and for those in England hopefully it'll get more warmer if you're planning on rocking this. Wide legged trousers are so comfortable so for it to be in this season means extreme comfort is on the way for us girls.

As I said before I found most of these peices at H&M, Primark, New Look, Peacocks and Topshop which is hopefully in everyone else's price range so enjoy finding these peices and comment whether you like this trend or not :)

fashion at: The Golden Globe Awards 2014 "Best Dressed".

Hey loves,

I hope you guys are well, I recently saw that the Golden Globes were on and I haven't done this yet but I have seen plenty of bloggers do it which is their own review on the Golden Globes Fashion. So here I found photos from The Huffington Post, I'll place the link here.

And I chose all the outfits that I thought were the best in my own opinion so here they are:

Amy Adams in Valentino and Brian Atwood
This dress is absolutely stunning it falls perfectly on her, although the colour gets a little lost into the red carpet the chiffon material is beautiful. Also the dark red of  the halter-neck contrasts beautifully with the rest of her outfit. Also I love the fact that she kept her make-up very subtle but still coincides with her red theme that she has going on. Also a very good call on having the hair up, it shows the halter neck beautifully.

Julie Bowen in Carline Herrera and Jimmy Choo
I have always found Julie Bowen beautiful and hilarious, this dress looks remarkable on her, she really works velvet well also, the cut of the dress which cinches in at the waist is a beautiful shape on her. The combination of red and purple go beautifully here and I was a fan of her middle-parting hairdo also!

Anna Gunn in Donna Karen and Karan Atelier
This was one of my favourite dresses simply because it was a different take on the fishtail style with the layers of material and how it wasn't as cinched in at the knee but instead flows out beautifully into a sea of golden material.

Lupita Nyong'o in Ralph Lauren, Fred Leighton and Monica Rich Kosann
I heard that people were very keen on following Nyong'o's style and she really didn't dissappoint, this cape styled dress was a beautiful and unique take on the red dress which compliments her beautiful skin tone and accessories. She was stunning!

Taylor Swift in Carolina Herrera
Is it me or can Taylor Swift rock just about anything, the colour blocking on this dress looks beautiful and the sweetheart neckline looks also gorgeous on her. I love the layering of material that creates a unique shape to the dress I especially love the trail the gown makes, it's very sophisticated and vintage. Well done Taylor!

Mila Kunis in Gucci, Marina B and Gemfields
I love sparkles which may be the generic girly-girl statement but Mila Kunis's dress is gorgeous I will always be a fan of chiffon so chiffon and sequins is the perfect combination especially if it creates an ombre effect. I see a theme with the halter neck style running through the Golden Globe fashion and I'm loving it although personally I don't think I have the beautiful neckline for it I think it's about time that it came back.

Taylor Schilling in Thakoon, Stuart Weitzman, Swarovski
The one thing I really admire the most about this dress is the neck detail which is a beautiful victorian lace I also really admire the way all the material cinches in at the middle of the waist almost creating a star-like pattern. It's so sophisticated and beautiful with the mini-trail and her accessories were perfectly matched, leaving the neck bare really shows off the victorian lace detail.

Kate Mara in J. Mendel
The combination of the two materials is very modern, this gown looks almost futuristic in terms of the layered sleeves and the cinched in material at the waist also the mini waterfall affect really compliments the chiffon in the centre of the dress.

Amber Heard in Versace
This dress was one of my favourites, I'm a huge fan of the midnight blue colour especially if it satin/silk, the designers this year seem to be playing around with waterfall styles and the folding and pleats of material and this dress demonstrates this beautifully. The cut on the leg isn't too revealing but reveals enough to make it look classy. Also, I'm kind of in love with her heels which as if her legs didn't need even more elongation they look perfect on her.

Rosci Diaz in Edie Parker
This combination of off-whites and creams with the mesh detail looks incredible again the halter neck is a more subtle halter neck than the others, the triangular shape and pattern of the lines look incredible and ties in well with the fishtail style. Her nails look perfectly manicured and her accesories were chosen right and are not too overbearing but does the gown justice!

Sarah Paulson in Marchesa, Christian Louboutin, Irene Neuwirth
This dress is so beautiful I don't really know what to call this material.. lace? Layered lace or mesh? I don't know but the sparkle and the glimmer and the layering pleats of a rah-rah skirt looks incredible. It's such a simple dress in terms of the cut but appears so beautifully on her.

Giuliana Rancic in Lorena Sarbu, Christian Louboutin, Forevermark
Last but most of all not least is Giuliana Rancic's dress. This raspberry coloured netting is gorgeously detailed with beautifully coloured sequins, the pattern is so intricate she wears this dress really well. It's not too overpowering but it's just about right for her, she looks stunning!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Review: Candy Apple and Berry Smoothie

Hey loves,
Here's the review, as promised on the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters, I bought two of them 1. Berry Smoothie and 2. Candy Apple for £5.00 each! As opposed to £7.99 which was awesome, I was waiting for them to go down in price for so long!

Here is Revlon's description of what the Colorburst Lip Butters are all about:

- Hydrating mango, shea and coconut butter formula boosts lip moisture by 156%
- Pampering gel formula provides super charged hydration and glides on lips buttery smooth
- Sheer to medium colour with buttery shine
- Available in 20 luscious shades

I will also link you to a site where you can get them :)

I have unashamedly fallen in love with their Lip Butters, I believe it is the PERFECT in-between colour for those days where you don't feel like having the hassle of putting on lipstick because it takes a while what with lining your lips and things like that and you also don't really want to go for the simplicity of the humble Vaseline, you just want that hint of both - well, I have found the perfect compromise. Revlon's Lip Butters are wonderful for giving that subtle hint of colour to you lips as well as a healthy shine of moisture.
They also have a beautiful 20 shades to choose from! They're also very easy to apply and I believe stay on for a good few hours baring in mind this differs when you eat and drink anything all you do is simply reapply during the day.

I personally was never one to go for lipglosses as I felt that the majority of the lipglosses just was a pain when it came to my hair flicking about my face and also appeared way to wet and shiny on my lips but now that I have found the perfect compromise I just can't get enough of their collection and I must buy all their shades pronto.

This is in the shade Berry Smoothie which is a shiny purple toned colour, it shows a beautiful mute pink on your lips and has such a natural effect on your overall look, I believe this lip butter is perfect for those lazy days where you want a hint of colour but you don't want your overall look to appear too busy.

This shade is in Candy Apple and is the perfect compromise for all my girls that love wearing a red lipstick, that love having that pop of colour but if on some days can't really be bothered with the hassle that comes along with applying lip liner and lipstick then this is the perfect shade for you, it's a red colour with a hint of shine, it's perfect to wear just on its own with subtle eyes.

On top: Candy Apple
On bottom: Berry Smoothie

This blog post isn't complete with a good old selfie!
Above I'm wearing Berry Smoothie and Below I'm wearing Candy Apple Red.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post!
God bless,
