UK NETFLIX MOVIE PICKS #1: Cheesy Chick-flicks

Anyone who knows me will know that I have watched nearly every chick-flick under  the sun. Below I listed 28 out of the 56 that I found on Netflix UK. Some of them, if not, all of them, I have watched more than once and shamefully a load of these are my all-time favourites.

We love them because they're cheesy, predictable and sometimes so far out of the realm of the realistic that we still want to watch them time after time again because either a) the lead guy is cute, b) we want the wardrobe or c) we want to vicariously live our lives through them even if it is only for an hour and thirty minutes. I love showing these movies to my friends even if a majority of them may kill your brain cells in the process.

Grab your girls and make your way through this list! P.S - Part 2 is coming up very soon :)

1.     Agent Cody Banks 2
2.     Beauty & the Briefcase
3.     Bratz
4.     Bring It On: Fight to Finish
5.     Burlesque
6.     Clueless

8.     Country Strong
9.     Coyote Ugly
10. Footloose
11. Freaky Friday

CURRENT: Favourites

I don't know why but I never really got into posting my monthly favourites on this blog which is weird because they're my favourite posts and youtube videos that I look forward to watching and reading every month. I recall taking these photos for a post that I was going to do at the beginning of the month but I never got round to it so... better late than never. I tell myself. #queenoflateness

1// Bethel Music - We Will Not Be Shaken album

My most absolute favourite songs on this album would have to be:

  • Jenn Johnson - In Over My Head
  • Kalley Heiligenthal - Ever Be
  • Amanda Cook - You Don't Miss A Thing
  • Brian Johnson - Seas of Crimson
Overall the music production of this gorgeous album is absolutely incredible, the presence of God has hovered many times while I have worshipped to this album. It is laced with the Holy Spirit and absolutely catches the wonderful essence of who God is and what He is able to bring us through.

2// Glamour Magazine

I must admit that I was initially drawn to the free lip-gloss that you could get with this magazine but Glamour, the magazine itself is one of the few left of the shelves that actually produce useful articles, it does more than "fashion" and "beauty", leaps far beyond that so when I am able to purchase it - it's a real treat.

3// Maybelline 14 hour Lipstick Super Stay in Lasting Chestnut

Before I discovered this beauty of a lipstick I had previously bought the Always Plum colour which I wore non-stop when I first bought it so much so that it actually lead to it breaking off. I picked up this colour because shamefully I was looking for a similar Kylie Jenner lip colour and this lip colour is natural enough against my skin tone to wear every day. So I do.

4// Cafe De Bain Shower Cream in Coconut Macaroon

My friend Peter bought this and another scent for my birthday and I have been using it ever since. It has the most amazing smell that I cannot even put into words. It smells just like it sounds if not a little bit more sweeter. I believe you can purchase these in Superdrug in the UK.

5// Sinful Colours Nail Polish in Nirvana

I bought this nail varnish a while ago, it has lasted me so many months of wear and I only purchased it from Poundland! One of the greatest buys I have ever done (amidst all the stupid ones). It's basically this neutral, brown colour that lasts a while, it's a gorgeous nail varnish that I will definitely purchase again and again.

6// A Girl Called Jack - 100 Delicious Budget Recipes - Jack Monroe

My beautiful sister-in-law sent me this book to use while I'm at uni and for life and it is this amazing story about a girl called Jack Monroe that was living below the breadline in poverty along with her son and she struggled daily on a small budget putting enough food on the table for her and her son. Numerous times she would go without dinner just to make sure her son was fed. Her son would ask for more and it broke her heart telling him there wasn't any. So she was able to put together delicious and healthy meals that you can buy with a low budget and put it in a book so that I, the struggling student can learn from. I believe she also has a blog so be sure to check that out!

Thank you for checking out this post guys,
God bless,

CURRENT FAVOURITES: Aussie, Loreal, Barry M, Maybelline, Benefit etc.

Hey guys,

This post is going to display all of my current favourites and make-up bits that are occupying my make-up bag. I was feeling uninspired blog-wise so I finally decided that I haven't done enough favourites so here it is:

£3.89
I cannot vouch for the scent of this hairspray enough, it spells like berries and holds my hair a good few hours, say now I spritzed my hair at around 4:30pm because I was getting ready for a concert I was playing in and it has lasted until now and it's 10:36pm and will probably last most of the night so everything about this hairspray really is just en pointe I seriously recommend it.

£9.99
I had never really used oils in my hair before, I remember my mum bought me hot oil from VO5 which we both put in our hair for special occasions and I remember that being amazing but I never had an oil that I just pump and place on the ends of my hair. This is lovely before and after drying your hair and I use it especially when I feel like my hair is looking a bit dry it grants instant moisture to my dull hair.
P.S Normally I would never spend that much on hair products BUT it was only £6.00 when I bought it at ASDA but I believe it's risen in price so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for discounts!

£3.99
I actually bought this colour ages ago but I think I only wore it once but took it off straight after because I hated the colour with my skintone but you know what, screw it, this year I love it. It's like a coral neon colour which is perfect for springtime!

£1.59
This lip balm is honestly the best ever I've tried, it's moisture is like no other, I put it on before I put on my make-up and when I go to sleep because it leaves my lips so shiny but more importantly moist. I carry this everywhere I go, I actually got this in a combination of presents from one of my good friends Sammie, she has a Youtube channel that is awesome here's the link to her channel , make sure you guys subscribe she does wonderful videos!

£7.99
I actually bought this when it was a mere £5 in Superdrug and I pondered getting two because I knew that the discount doesn't last long but I wanted to try it and I've literally nearly run out, I've have been obsessing over pink recently so it was probably the best first bright pink lip lacquer I've ever bought. What I also love about this product is the fact that it smells like mint when you put it on your lips. It was like I had been chewing gum but I hadn't been.

£4.00
I've bought this palette two times, the first time it did get used a lot but I lost the lid and eventually it failed on me so I bought another one and literally the combinations are endless I am actually to this day still finding new colour combos to use for day and night so I'm literally in love with this palette a ton there is not a single colour I don't use, apart from the top right colour, it doesn't look used at all!

£4.99
I love this product, I mostly use it when I've already filled in my brows but on some days where I'm feeling rushed I will just use it on its own. I recommend it for everyone it's  made brow life a whole lot easier!

£9.99
I know what you're thinking £9.99 for this pot but I got this around Christmas time and my mumma bought it for me as a treat. I was honestly so excited to true it, on the packaging it had a before and after picture and I was like dayuuum your girls going to finally have eyelashes (because my real ones are short and non-existent) so when I tried it I was a tad disappointed but I layered it a few times and curled it with my eyelash curlers and it works a dream.

£7.49 - Amazon
£2.99 - bookstore

This book, I bought a few days ago and it's literally such an awesome and convicting book, a total God send and anointed piece of writing. It's also so eye-opening and humbling, I've read it morning afternoon and evening since I bought and a great thing about it is that is has bible references as well so I spend ages looking them up and then referencing other pages of my Bible. Another things I love about this book is the titles, the chapters are short but there straight to the point, it's simple as well, Kempis tells it how God tells it and I am so blessed to read it.

I hope you enjoyed this post!
What are your favourites?

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Review: Candy Apple and Berry Smoothie

Hey loves,
Here's the review, as promised on the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters, I bought two of them 1. Berry Smoothie and 2. Candy Apple for £5.00 each! As opposed to £7.99 which was awesome, I was waiting for them to go down in price for so long!

Here is Revlon's description of what the Colorburst Lip Butters are all about:

- Hydrating mango, shea and coconut butter formula boosts lip moisture by 156%
- Pampering gel formula provides super charged hydration and glides on lips buttery smooth
- Sheer to medium colour with buttery shine
- Available in 20 luscious shades

I will also link you to a site where you can get them :)

I have unashamedly fallen in love with their Lip Butters, I believe it is the PERFECT in-between colour for those days where you don't feel like having the hassle of putting on lipstick because it takes a while what with lining your lips and things like that and you also don't really want to go for the simplicity of the humble Vaseline, you just want that hint of both - well, I have found the perfect compromise. Revlon's Lip Butters are wonderful for giving that subtle hint of colour to you lips as well as a healthy shine of moisture.
They also have a beautiful 20 shades to choose from! They're also very easy to apply and I believe stay on for a good few hours baring in mind this differs when you eat and drink anything all you do is simply reapply during the day.

I personally was never one to go for lipglosses as I felt that the majority of the lipglosses just was a pain when it came to my hair flicking about my face and also appeared way to wet and shiny on my lips but now that I have found the perfect compromise I just can't get enough of their collection and I must buy all their shades pronto.

This is in the shade Berry Smoothie which is a shiny purple toned colour, it shows a beautiful mute pink on your lips and has such a natural effect on your overall look, I believe this lip butter is perfect for those lazy days where you want a hint of colour but you don't want your overall look to appear too busy.

This shade is in Candy Apple and is the perfect compromise for all my girls that love wearing a red lipstick, that love having that pop of colour but if on some days can't really be bothered with the hassle that comes along with applying lip liner and lipstick then this is the perfect shade for you, it's a red colour with a hint of shine, it's perfect to wear just on its own with subtle eyes.

On top: Candy Apple
On bottom: Berry Smoothie

This blog post isn't complete with a good old selfie!
Above I'm wearing Berry Smoothie and Below I'm wearing Candy Apple Red.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post!

A Very Yummy Christmassy Hot Chocolate :)

Hey loves,

I lagged on my stocking stuffers blog post yesterday but I guess this morning at 4:16am It can count as yesterday however I have a different post for you guys it's sort of a tutorial for you and I got this tutorial off of a Youtube beauty guru called MissGlamorazzi you guys may have heard of her her videos are awesome!
I'll link her video at the end so you can check her out, I bet she'll do a better job at it than I can :)

So me and my love went out at 12am to our nearest 24/7 Tesco's and bought a load of ingredients that Ingrid used and added a few of her own :)
Here are the ingredients we used from the left to the right:
1. Askeys: Treat Chocolate Sauce
2. Anchor's Whipped Cream
3. Peanut Butter
4. Tesco's Own Brand Marshmallows
5. McVities Digestive Biscuits
6. Cadbury Flakes
7. Hot Chocolate powder, mine's one from Options and it's the White Hot Chocolate one
also, I forgot to add the eighth one
8. MILK :D

1) Place Milk and the hot chocolate into a cup and add milk up to your desired amount of hot chocolate this just measures and balances the ratio of hot chocolate and milk. After pour it into a pan and turn the heat up to medium then using a whisk stir all the contents together.

2) Leave the hot chocolate to simmer on  low heat which just keeps it warm while you work on other aspects of the recipe.

3) Next line your cup using a knife with Peanut Butter, this part can be quite tedious so you can take your time on it if you want to. It's quite easy after you learn the ropes though.

4) Next take around three or four digestive biscuits and place into a bag, a ziplock would be ideal, and then using either a mug or a rolling pin, squash, bash, roll, whack the biscuits until it becomes fine, crumbly peices, much like the bottom of cheesecake.

5) Next open the bag onto a small plate and scatter to circe the plate with crumbs. Then you're going to place your peanut-butter lined cup into the centre downwards and then using your fingers gather the crumbs into a mound around the cup so that it can latch onto the yummy peanut butter.

So it should look something like the picture below, this is an amazing touch to this hot chocolate recipe and creates the wafer part that you get in a smore.

6) Next, take your pan off of the hob and place it into a jug making it easier and less likely for you to spill the hot chocolate.

7) Then leaving your hob on to full or medium whichever one of your choice, you can use skewers for this part but we chose to use three forks, place your marshmallows on the end and heat them until at least 2 sides of the marshmallow turn a little brown!

8) Next using whipped cream line the top of your hot chocolate with it.

9) Then add the marshmallows which will be all creamy and gooey!

10) Then add the chocolate sauce!

11) And cut the flake bar in half and place one on one side of the cup, be careful not to sink the ship with it!

And voila! You have an amazing smore hot chocolate drink :D
May I just mention this is the most amazing hot chocolate drink I have ever had..no lie.
Also just to pre-warn you, this is quite a messy drink when you finish making it, probably shortly after this photo was taken the cream and fudge sauce probably exploded over the cup!

So there you have it, I hope you enjoy your lovely Smore Hot Chocolate, comment if you try it out! Here's Ingrid's video, make sure to subscribe to her channel as she is doing DIY December which instead of Vlogmas, is a Do It Yourself video everyday up until Christmas!
I really hope you enjoyed this blog post guys! I'm going to head to bed to catch some Zzz's, keep posted for more tutorials and Christmas related stuff!

An autumn walk with my love♥

Hey loves,
I'm so sorry I haven't blogged in a while! I have a lot of posts coming up though so stayed tuned :)
A few days ago I went on a cute little walk with my boyfriend and my dog Bailey. Can I just say it's such a lovely thought to have someone that you can talk endlessly to and not get bored, someone who just the right balance of cute, romantic and funny rolled up into one person. I am so blessed that God gave me Him! As you can see the views were beautiful, I love the look of Autumn, it's cosy even though sometimes a little cold.

He was sooo bummed about his Jordan's getting muddy, I would be seeing as they cost so much! However, who wears Jordans to walk a dog :L

If anyone was wondering Bailey is a cross between a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and a Beagle and she is absolutely gorgeous, don't you think? She recently got spayed so she's a bit slow right now compared to her crazy temperament!

This is the view from my way down the road, honestly it is breathtaking everytime I look at it!

I hope you guys enjoyed this quick post.
God bless!
